About me
Well What about me that is not said on the front page? I am a new publisher of a web site so I am doing all sorts of things to test and see just how it goes so please be patient.
My main interest right now is the keeping of pet birds both Endee the Quaker parakeet, and Foehn the cockatiel who live indoors. I once had a collection of friends in outside aviaries but had to give these up with the amount of work needed to care for them. Please visit my photo pages to get views of the aviary building projects I have undertaken in past years.
As a result of my interest in birds I have made many friends especially in USA and each year I now attend a Gathering of bird owners in Oklahoma where I stay with my best friend Linda Carl in Okemah. This Gathering attracts people from as far away as Florida and Illinois, from Texas and Missouri so there is a lot of enjoyment in this especially for me coming from another country. While there I usually manage to do a little sketching and hopefully this year a little more serious painting.
Owning birds has also generated greater interest in the wider activity of bird watching and I travel to lots of sites within the local area where I am able to extend my knowledge of species and habits, the latter giving more insight to my bird rearing of course.
