Harrison Family
My mother was Marie Harrison and the Harrison branch of the family is interesting in many ways, The family were wood workers of various trades and lived for many years in the Horsley district. My grandfather Walter became a wood pattern maker in a steel foundry in Woodchester having married Lillian Young the daughter of a cloth worker. Daniel’s father had married twice as had his wife Salome, and her family had in part emigrated to California and then to Alaska where descendants known to us live at present. The Harrison family is well documented on Internet Family Tree (Church of Latter Day Saints) and is traced back to John Harrison and Mary Willis who married in 1753
I found that Jacob had been caught twice stealing wool and sentenced to 7 years transportation. Investigation at the National Archives showed that he did not set sail but was transferred to Hulk York and came home to die a month or so after release.
